Again or not again

If Israel strikes Iran and somehow manages to limit the ensuing cycle of violent reactions, it will ensure a renewed determination of Persians and Arabs to try (again?) to develop weapons of mass destruction. Of course, for propaganda reasons they will then be called weapons of protection.

With that the popular version of history will have changed from Israelis protecting themselves from their aggressive neighbors to one in which Israel is the obvious aggressor. And so, until another peace maker is born and will be allowed to live in the state of Israel, its politicians will continue to beat the drums of war with its neighbors.

Would it be antisemitic to ponder how come that with so much smarts on its side Israel can't seem to figure out how to live in peace with its neighbors?
Let's face it there are no grown ups in the Middle East. On neither side. And somehow they are all family of ours. The type we rather not talk about.

With thanks to Fareed
