There are many reasons why we have to reelect President Obama. This 4 minute video from the NY Times shows you why the Republican recipe of 'remove all regulations and unleash the American entrepreneur' is not what will do the trick this time around. When manufacturing jobs move overseas, our economy becomes more and more dependent on service jobs, which on average are much lower paid. On top of that, a job in the service sector gives rise to fewer pull-through jobs than when a manufacturing job is created.
Although the video does not make this point, it becomes clear why it was so important to save the auto industry and why we need someone who looks out for the middle class in the White House for four more years.
